Every 65 minutes a veteran with PTSD takes their life by suicide. That's 22 lives a day!
I've been committed to changing these staggering statistics for 9+ years. As you can imagine, service dogs make deep connections with the veterans they work with. But, it takes funds to continue my programs that help them. Because of Covid, the weekly canine therapy program for veterans that I'm part of has been put on hold. Since we have time, we decided to train a puppy to become a PTSD service dog for Griff. This courageous man served our country, kept us safe, sacrificed family, and so much more. The least I can do is help him heal. |
