LARYNGEAL PARALYSIS
A Holistic Approach to Geriatric Onset Laryngeal
Paralysis Polyneuropathy (GOLPP)
Paralysis Polyneuropathy (GOLPP)

Rina is a 12.5 year old, female golden/lab mix. She's been healthy her whole life until this past April when she was diagnosed with colon cancer. She had surgery, and kicked cancer to the curb! Unfortunately, not too long after she was intubated, she developed Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis (GOLPP)
I wanted to create a healing sanctuary for her that was filled with positivity. Once I started down that road, there was no return! Before I knew it, my whole house was re-decorated according to Feng Shui practices.
I also decided to treat and manage her GOLPP holistically rather than surgically. I didn't feel she was far enough advanced in the disease to warrant surgery. We've had pretty good success, so I wanted to share the things I've done to help anyone else who may not be ready for surgery.
First and foremost... the MOST important thing you can do to help your dog is BE POSITIVE! Even if you get a tragic diagnosis, do not worry or get upset. Yes, it's normal to feel that way, but your dog can feel you. So whatever emotion you emit is what will guide your dog.
Positive energy and prayer worked magic during Rina's cancer journey. So much so, that Ricochet created a Facebook page called Ricochet's Healing Sanctuary. Please join us there!
Below, I've listed the things that have worked for us, along with links for more information.
