SURFIN' SANTA PAWS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOY DRIVE FOR KIDS

I'm working with a local private school with about 500 kids from kindergarten through 8th grade... trying to inspire them to help others & treat animals with kindness and respect.  I'm going to be a guest at one of their assemblies where I'll show my SURFice dog video, and "speak" to the kids about pawing it forward through this toy drive.

The kids will kind of be my elves this year! They'll join me on the beach when I (Surfin' Santa Paws) arrive at Del Mar Dog Beach via surfboard on December 1st. They'll be collecting toys & donations through December 15th. The kids will deliver the toys to Rady Children's Hospital with me on December 16th.

STEVIE'S KRITTER TOY DRIVE

A couple days before Stevie's 5th birthday, his two labs went missing, and sadly, were never found. For his birthday, instead of asking for gifts for himself, he asked people to donate funds, toys, food, treats, etc to his local animal shelter. He's raised over $28,000, and received the distinguished honor of "Kid of the Year" from the ASPCA.

Stevie prays every night that his labs are taken care of & wants to do something to help other animals that aren't loved & in a forever home. If you'd like to help Stevie help the animals, please click the donate button below. Once we receive all the donations, Stevie will go shopping to pick up all the supplies & toys he can with the cash donations, and distribute them to his furry friends in need. Stevie will also gladly accept any product/inkind donations that will benefit pets in need. Toys, treats, collars, leashes, beds, sweaters, blankets, food, ect. **Ashleigh Nelson, age 9, received a GRANT from YESKIDZCAN to help fund a Bracelet Fundraiser for the Northeast Nebraska Humane Society. All proceeds will be evenly distributed to the Shelter Fund and the Foster Care Program.

RINA'S SOLES 4 SOULS SHOE DRIVE

My sister Rina, from another mother, loves shoes! Anytime someone comes over, she greets them with a shoe. We often have shoes all over our driveway! So, I suggested Rina do something helpful with her passion for shoes!

Soles 4 Souls is a non profit organization that collects donations of new and "gently" worn shoes and distributes them to people in need in the United States and abroad.  You can either donate cash via the donate button below, or mail new or gently used shoes directly to Soles 4 Souls & say you're donating on behalf of Rina. IAMS/HELEN WOODWARD ANIMAL CENTER'S HOME 4 THE HOLIDAYS ADOPTION DRIVE

I'm an Ambassador for Iams Home 4 the Holidays, which was founded by Mike Arms, president of Helen Woodward Animal Center in 1999. It has become the largest pet adoption drive in history, finding families for more than 5.7 million orphan pets.

This year, the goal is 1.5 million animals adopted from Oct 1st to Jan 3rd. It's not too late to help! Animal shelters and pet rescue groups can still register for the 13th annual Home 4 the Holidays campaign. And families in search of new pets can make a choice that saves a life when they opt to adopt.

CHRISTMAS CLICK DRIVE FOR KIDS & KRITERS

This is such an easy way to help kids & animals, and it doesn't cost a thing! All you need to do is CLICK! Facebook has several contests by companies like Chase Community Giving, and the Pepsi Refresh Project where rescues, shelters, and other non profits can win substantial grants. So, in the spirit of providing kids with a positive influence of respect & responsibility toward animals, I'm including these contests in my Howliday Giving Drive. IAMS BAGS TO BOWLS FOOD DRIVE

As part of the Iams/Helen Woodward Animal Center's Home 4 the Holidays adoption drive, Iams is having a food drive called Bags to Bowls, and it's their goal to donate 5 million bowls of food to the 3500 animal shelters that participate in the program. 

Iams gave me the opportunity to raise some of those bowls. They gave me 50 bowls for every comment I got on this picture I posted on my Facebook page. The plan was for me to hold this drive throughout the holiday season. But, in just over 24 hours, I had over 20,000 comments, which came out to 1 million bowls of food!!  So, my food drive campaign ended early, but we were able to feed a LOT of animals!

FIGHT BACK! FOR COLE - COLE'S GIFT OF CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE Cole is an 11 year old boy who has been battling leukemia for over 3 1/2 years. Last year, he spent the majority of the year, including the holiday season in the hospital. Despite the sadness of battling relapsed cancer, strangers brought toys to the hospital for him.  This year Cole wanted to do the same for other kids in the hospital, so he decided to give the gift of Christmas by having a toy drive! Sadly, his treatment plan has changed, and he's starting radiation. He'll most likely be in the hospital for Christmas. But, we can still help him with his toy drive! Who says it has to be Christmas to deliver toys?!! Whenever Cole gets better, he'll have our donations! On December 25th, we'll let Cole know how much was raised, and let him decide if he'd like to go shopping for toys for his beneficiary, St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, or if he'd like us to make a cash donation directly to the hospital. STACEY MAE'S TEDDY BEAR DRIVE Stacey Mae is a greater swiss mountain dog, and my best FURiend! Her human counter-part is a very special 18 year old girl named Maria. Maria thought up the idea of collecting teddy bears & stuffed animals for kids in hospitals, and folks in nursing homes. It's called The Teddy Bear Project. She's collected hundreds since she began in December of 2010.  This year, I want to help her collect thousands! EMERSYN'S CARDS FOR KIDS Emersyn is a 10 year old girl who loves crafting, and makes cards and gifts for good causes, like kids with cancer. She usually goes on Ellen Degeneres' Facebook page, and when she sees a story that touches her heart, she does something to brighten that persons life. She touches MY heart because she wants to help others. She is also collecting sock donations for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, as well as soda can tabs. She started collecting stuffed animals to take to care homes for Christmas. She decorates backpacks, and stuffs them with activities and prizes to occupy kids with cancer who have extended hospital stays. So, I want to help raise awareness of what Emersyn does, and help her collect supplies, socks, toys , etc for other kids!
