SURFING FOR FUN & COMPETITION!
I also surf for fun, and competition... entering surf dog
contests, and usually winning in the top three places. My
best win was at the 2010 Loews Surf Dog Competition where I won 1st place in
the tandem division with my littermate, Kalani. At the 2009 Helen Woodward
Surf dog Surf-a-thon, I came in 2nd overall. I won 3rd place in the
Purina Incredible Dog Challenge in 2009 and 2010, and 2nd
place in 2011. I've won several
other surf dog contests too, which are highlighted on
my
Surfin'
and Fundraising Awards page.
 Currently,
there are four surf dog competitions in southern California, the Loews
Coronado Bay Resort Surf dog contest, the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge,
Helen Woodward Surf dog surf-a-thon, and Surf City Surf Dog. Below are the events I've entered, or am planning to enter:
Hang loose, and come out to watch... be one of the
(cheer)leaders of the pack!
I also enjoy tandem surfing with people, and other dogs.
I often surf with my littermate, Kalani. and we're known as the Twisted
Sisters! I surfed with three of my surfing buddies, four dogs on a
board, and our picture was featured in Times Square and the Vegas strip (see
pictures below).
Sometimes I get out for a little SUPing too, and I'm
always up for surfing with a pro surfer like
Guy
Takayama or
Taylor
