White's Humane Heroes Club...
helping animals of
Hurricane Sandy
 The
American Humane Association's Red Star Rescue team has mobilized, and
they're rushing to help animals caught in the deadly wind and water of
Hurricane Sandy. My red carpet dress fundraiser benefits this initiative
through
Betty White's Humane Heroes Club. Betty will match up to $25,000 in
donations!!
When I took this picture with Betty White at the hero dog awards,
she loved the idea of animals benefiting from my dress. So I thought her
initiative would be the
perfect beneficiary of my fundraiser. Contributions to this fund benefit the
American Humane Association’s Red Star™ Rescue teams across the
nation who provide emergency food, first aid, shelter and adoption services
to animals affected by natural disasters and other catastrophic events.

The first leg of my fundraiser raised $7060, and each
person who donated was entered into a drawing to win the dress I'm wearing
in this picture from the 2012 Hero Dog Awards that I wore on the red carpet.
It was won by Mary Fitzsimmons who donated back to me. She wanted me to
auction it off to raise more funds. The auction was won by an anonymous
donor who wants the dress to go to Betty White. So, the $7060, along with
the donations from the 2nd half of this fundraiser will go to Betty White.

In October of 2011, my BFF
Stacey Mae
and I were finalists in the
American Human
Association's
Hero Dog
Awards. We got to meet face to face & enjoy
a few days together. We were invited back to the 2012 awards as VIP guests.
Unfortunately, Stacey and her family weren't able to make it this year.
I know Stacey was attending with me in spirit, so when we
sat down at our table, I was absolutely shocked when our human FURiend
Kristin got a tragic message on her phone... Stacey Mae had died. She
choked on a dog biscuit, and even though Maria tried to help her, she
wasn't able. I am heartbroken.
I
had a very special dress designed especially for me to wear on the red
carpet at the awards by
RL Couture by
Lucy Medeiros. Miss Lucy donated the dress
to me, and my plan was to auction it off with the proceeds helping animals
in need.
But, due to Stacey's passing, I decided to hold a
fundraiser in her honor since she's a hero dog, and died on the night of the
2nd annual hero dog awards. When I took this picture with Betty White at the
awards, she loved the idea of animals benefiting from my dress. So I thought
the perfect beneficiary of this fundraiser would be
Betty White's Humane Heroes Club. Contributions to this fund benefit the
American Humane Association’s Red Star™ Rescue teams across the
nation who provide emergency food, first aid, shelter and adoption services

Betty pledged to match up to $25,000 in donations when
she set up this fund for the AHA a couple months ago. Please help raise as
much as possible so Betty can match YOUR donations! Let's honor our hero dog Stacey Mae through this pawmazing
fund set up by Betty. If you can't donate, please help spread the word about
this fundraiser.
Everyone that donated through 10/21/12 was entered into a
random drawing via random.org to win one of two gifts...
The red carpet dress was won
by: MARY FITZSIMMONS. She donated the dress back to me so I could
auction it off, and raise more funds for the animals. An anonymous donor bid
$275 and asked that the dress be given to Betty white.
The boa Stacey Mae wore during the 2011 Hero Dog Awards
was won by: TIFFANY HENSLEY
