CELEBRATING JESSIE'S LIFE!

by getting her to 100,000  FB fans & raising funds for her NEGU Foundation.

Jessica Joy Rees was a beautiful, giving, and incredibly brave 12 year old girl. On March 3 2011, an MRI found she had an in-operable brain tumor. In September, another brain tumor was found.

On January 5, 2012, 10 months, and 2 days later, she earned her wings, and now looks down on us from heaven.  I am deeply saddened, and heartbroken.

I met Jessie on Facebook page April 20th, 2011. Jessie was trying to reach 10,000 fans & I went to work on that right away... She hit 10,000 two days later. We also raised over $1100 for her organization, The NEGU Foundation.

I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate Jessie's life, than by getting her to 100,000 fans by the end of Wednesday, January 11th, which was the date of her celebration service at Saddleback Church in Orange County.

I also held a fundraiser for Jessie's NEGU Foundation and my pawmazing Facebook pack helped raise $5500!

PAWING IT FORWARD TO HELP JESSIE SPREAD JOY!

Jessica and her family formed a non profit organization called The NEGU Foundation, which stands for Never Ever Give Up... Jessica's motto!  Jessica has inspired thousands of people to NEGU! The Foundation will deliver Hope and Joy to children who have received a diagnosis similar to Jessica’s, and help fund cancer research. 

To fund their non profit, Jessica came up with the idea of Joy Jars! A new way to help spread Joy to children who are hospitalized or fighting serious medical conditions!  Her Joy Jars will also be available to anyone who wants to spread joy to others such as their family, friends, and neighbors.

Obviously there is overhead to making them, and that's where my fundraiser came in. 

My "Paw It Forward to Help Jessie Spread Joy" fundraiser was to help fund the overhead of making the jars & jar inventory.  Joy Jars will help fund The NEGU Foundation.

Thank you to my donors for helping me with this fundraiser... $1110 was raised!!
